Lost In You is inspired by the muted and amazing colors and beauty of very early spring. I used some of those same colors and the raw emotion they inspired. Gold leaf with oil paint was the perfect way to capture the feel of the early spring sunlight.
Circles are a powerful inspiration for me. In my work, they symbolize the dynamic and endlessly changing cycles of the self, the world, and life.
I created this abstract painting using archival-grade oil paint and natural non-toxic solvent on luxuriously thick, inch and a half deep gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted, so the piece is ready to hang unframed.
