Storm Moon Rising 30″x24″ Abstract Oil Painting
With “Storm Moon Rising” I attempted to capture the ephemeral beauty of the March full moon. As winter gives way to spring, the storm moon rises, heralding a season of hope, growth, and renewal.
As the world emerges from the darkness of winter, the full Storm Moon becomes a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and spiritual connection. Using layers of paint and glimmering gold leaf, I hoped to capture the ethereal glow of the moon as it illuminates the snowy landscape.
I sought to create a sense of depth and luminosity that brings the painting to life and expresses the limitless potential that comes with embracing the magic of the changing seasons.
I created this abstract painting using archival-grade paint, gold leaf, and natural non-toxic solvent on luxuriously thick, inch and a half deep gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted, so the piece is ready to hang unframed.
