Under a Bright and Hollow Sky was inspired by the uplifting feelings of springtime. It’s such a complete change from winter, because during the colder months, people tend to look more inward. But when spring finally comes, we get a chance to look outward, let go of the past, and embrace growth.
To me, this painting symbolizes releasing the negativity of the past, and celebrating the unlimited possibilities of the future.
I created this abstract painting using archival-grade oil paint and natural non-toxic solvent on luxuriously thick, inch and a half deep gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted, so the piece is ready to hang unframed.
