Circus of Invention was inspired by the enchanting yet understated colors you often see when you explore the winter landscape. When you find inspiration in nature, it often involves projecting the feelings coursing through you onto the landscape around you. The spattered and running paint symbolize exploring this landscape of your imagination and discovering new sparks of insight and encouragement.
I created this abstract painting using archival-grade oil paint and natural non-toxic solvent on luxuriously thick, inch and a half deep gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted, so the piece is ready to hang unframed.
